Absolutely loved creating my mosaic! The process was fun and the result is stunning.

Various art supplies are scattered on a table, including a coloring book, colored markers, a watercolor paint palette, and several pieces of paper with drawings and colorings. The pieces of paper have images of balloons and flowers with emotions written on them, and some cut-out paper doll figures are seen as well.

This kit turned my photo into a beautiful piece of art. Highly recommend for all ages!

Frequently asked questions

How do you color the dots?

Use acrylic paint and the fine-tip brush that comes with the kit. Dip the tip of the brush in the paint well and lightly place the tip of the brush on the plexiglass.

Do you paint the dots on the paper template?

No. The template stays behind the plexiglass. Paint the dots directly onto the plexiglass using the template’s color key as your guide. Discard the template after the painting is complete.

Why do you use 8"X10" frame for your kit?

An 8x10 frame is best suited for displaying on a shelf or a wall, and the included mat provides a professional finish for your 5x7 artwork.

When and where do I send my digital photo?

First, purchase the kit. Then email the portrait photo to contact@optimosaic.com with the order number. We will send you a preview of how the artwork will look before mailing you the kit.

What do I need to create my own artwork?

Everything you need comes with your kit. You do not need to be an artist or have any prior art experience. Just a steady hand to paint color dots on the plexiglass of the photo frame.
